Gustave Greely: Bio

Gustave Greely

I received my Bachelor's Degree in composition from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music where I also attended the USC Film Scoring program.

I was awarded the inaugural ASCAP David Rose Scholarship for Film Scoring (2005), the Sadye J. Moss Composition Prize for my String Quartet, for which I was also a finalist in the BMI Student Composer Awards (2005). I was awarded the Composition Department Award at USC (2005) and participated in the 2005 ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop.

I was born in Texas and moved to Los Angeles when I was nine years old. I play trumpet, tap dance, and like old Hollywood musicals and severe weather. I'm in LA.
